Q: What is the different for Htc vacuum CF flange gasket seal - OFHC CF Copper Gasket, OFHC Annealed gasket,OFHC+Silver plated gasket,Viton gasket?
CF flange seal is made of metal gasket, not easy to penetrate gas and withstand long periods of high heat. (OFHC metal oxygen free copper gasket: 400oC under; Viton gasket: 180oC under). Widely used in high vacuum and ultra high vacuum fields。
CF flange seal is made of metal gasket, not easy to penetrate gas and withstand long periods of high heat. Copper purity reached 99.9% above. Electrolytic refining is carried out in an oxygen-free environment, and the oxygen content is reduced to below 0.001% to achieve low outgas conditions.
For systems requiring frequent high temperature baking, it is recommended to use OFHC+Silver plated gasket or OFHC annealed gaskets.
Viton gaskets have a flat cross section and are used in high vacuum applications, especially in installations where frequent reassembly and assembly is required, such as vacuum leak testing.

CF components material have stainless steel 304, Htc vacuum another offers ESR 316LN stainless steel material.
Electro Slag Remelt (ESR) are processes that refine the original cast structure of steels and alloys and removes non-metallic inclusions.
ESR material advantage:
1. Clean, less steel material, applicable to UHV.
2. Metallographic uniform, low magnetization surname, application in High-end laboratory equipment or process equipment.
